SOHO....Seriously Overall Highly Overpriced

Here is kinda of out of date post but i'm still going to post it anyway. I was at 1 Utama last week and decided to try out this new dim sum restaurant called SOHO (Not sure what its called in Chinese...Sin Chu Yi...basically new cooking idea.) next to Mark's Assam Laksa and Johnny's Steamboat.




I ordered their Signature beef stew with Fried Rice.

Beef and...Winter Melon? lots of gravy
My gf ordered some La Mian with shredded duck or something.

How was the food? Sucks. Trust me for the price that you're paying. I rather go to Dragon - I at the 1 Utama's new wing. Its quite pricey to dine at this SOHO place. No wonder it was almost empty when my gf and I went there. There were only like 1 family and 2 couples dinning at that time. It shall be my first visit and also my last visit to this SOHAI place, or sorry i mean SOHO.

Really sucky. If you are rich and wanna show it infront of everyone, go ahead and dine at this place. You're just being SOHAI in SOHO.

EDIT: I know its early to take my dinner at 5.45pm. The picture showed the time i took those pictures but still, sucky place to dine. Looks like a nice place..it is. but the food sucks. Period.

My first 2KM

W'sup everyone...yea its been awhile since my last update. I was busy/lazy/busy/lazy.

Its 1.15am and i should be sleeping...i know but i thought may be i could just do a quick post.
Yesterday, I had lunch with a couple of colleagues at the office pantry. They were talking about jogging, swimming, triathlon and cycling.

When it came to jogging, they sort of shared a tip or two. According to them, its better to push yourself to jog alittle further rather than stopping to get a breather and then start jogging again. I find it kinda true. I can't jog that much after stopping to walk like 30 seconds and then jog again.

So I tried to jog all the way...without stopping and managed to jog a good 2KM around my housing area. I could have gone further but I didnt want to push it too much hehe.

Ok lar...getting sleepy at last. See ya! but before i sleep....

To take or not to take a protein shake?

Some people including myself used to think that taking protein shakes will make a person fat. I was really skeptical too. Here are some facts i found on the web...and alot of reading in health forums..bodybuilding.com. What is Whey Protein and why is it good?
Whey Protein is derived from milk protein. However, unlike milk proteins - whey protein does not contain fat or lactose sugar. Whey protein is the best form of protein to take when using a supplement. Sorry for the lack of updates! Freaking happy! my biceps are having more definition!!!! BOLEH NAMPAK "BUMP" kecil! I have a before picture ...so....waiting for the AFTER picture which I don't know when it will be ready.

ok...I forgot to post this but its for SUNDAY 05.08.2007
I woke up around 7.45am.....left the house to jog 1st.

  • Jogging 1KM
Came home and did the following workout.

  • Bicep Curls 3 X 5
  • Bench Press 1 X 10
  • Bent Over Row 1 X 10
  • Sit Ups 3 X 10
  • Sit Ups with weight(5kg) 1 X 10
And after all that...I went to Church with my grandma and the maid(yea....she is Catholic too). After church....we went to the Puteri Mart(wet market)....only to see expensive.....stale looking vegetables. WTF man...most of the vegetables there aren't fresh...soft...yellowish....in BM we say....."layu". Yet when I asked for the price even though I didnt buy....he seems to be saying "ask edi but never buy...wtf" Ok...you guys have to translate that into Cantonese. I understand what he said but i'll mess it up when it comes to speaking cantonese.

Since the vegetables weren't fresh....we got afew stuffs like "tau pok" and er....pork before going to Giant hypermart. After that....FINALLY.....I get to come home. I cooked my own lunch(Yes...I can cook): Fettuccine with bolonese sauce, 1 piece of Ramlee burger sliced into smaller cube sizes with some veg. Yea yea i know......Ramlee burger? hello? It's not like I can't eat fatty ...saturated fats or those shit. Its been ages since I last ate a Ramlee burger. And no, I'm not saying its for my cheat day...I just WANT TO EAT IT WITH MY FETTUCCINE AND BOLOGNESE SAUCE.

Nothing much :D went for badminton. played around 3 games although I'm not really good. but I think I played better than other days....MUST RUN.......remember kids...MUST RUN TO HIT THE SHUTTLECOCK.

Ahh...Updates...actually nothing much really apart from finishing my work in the office(to me..its considered done. Now I have to wait for replies on whether the program is working as it should).

I didnt exercise yesterday...rest day :D.

Will do my cardio 1st then I'll do weights.

Last Weds was bad. I did my weights then cardio....my ribcage kinda hurt....dunno why. Friends told me that its because of weights.....I did weights 1st....while cardio stretches your body.......anyway I had quite an oily tea time. Dont get me wrong...it was home cooked bee hoon. My grandma might have used too much sesame oil.

Anyway, I'll try doing Cardio 1st this time. then weights.
