I AM FLYING TO UK! (^.^)v

This is just a short post. I'm flying to Wimbledon, UK this Saturday, 11.10.2008 around 11.40pm. Loads of packing to do. I'm definitely bringing my gym gloves, running shoe, and skipping rope. I hope I won't put on too much weight while being there. Some colleagues are already there so I will meet them real soon.

All prayers for a safe journey are greatly appreciated. And I wish you all the same.

Till then, I will miss you guys here(you know who you are!)

And finally, I will miss my dearest. Although everyone says its really a good opportunity to go such places, I'm leaving with a very very very heavy heart.

Thank God that it is only for 6 weeks. I will be back by 21st November.

I will update once I'm there with internet access.

30KM Mileage....first ever

Whoa...what a weekend. Ran ALOT, ate ALOT but rest too little, which is my own fault for gaming late nights.


First off, my training/running log for a quick update.

Workout: Bicep, Chest and abs. Improved on push ups. I manage to do more repetitions compared to other days after doing all the bicep curls. Signs of strength improvement?

Ran 5KM Clocking at 34' 14". Here are the breakdown.
1KM - 07' 01"
2KM - 13' 55"
3KM - 20' 44"

Lunch at home: Medium serving of rice, lots of veg, some meat and barley for drink.

Ate Mee Suah at 1 Utama. I don't want the oysters so asked them to replace with more chicken.

2 Biscuits. There were bought by my sister from UK. Very nice and filling. Orange flavored.

I was at Mid Valley with my gf. We had brunch at the Food Court. I had the Claypot Honey Chicken Rice while she had Claypot Chicken Rice with Mushroom.

Honey Chicken but I think they might have given me a wrong one. It was quite spicy. I'm abit lost myself haha. I ate it anyway.

We basically just did window shopping. The decorations at Mid Valley was pretty nice. Relaxing in a way.

The only stuff we bought were some spring rolls and some other groceries which....I can't remember haha. We were at Jusco supermarket and Carrefour and while at Jusco, almost every item were tagged! As in security. Did anyone steal from them? Why So Serious?

Was hungry again, since I plan to run, we both grabbed a quick bite at Mc Donalds.
I ate the chicken Foldover.

Took 1 glucosamine cap
Slept till 5pm

5.15pm
Ran 10KM with my gf. She is definitely getting better. We ran 4 loops of 2.5KM around her housing area. Distance was measured with her car. But anyway, even if the distance may not be accurate, we have ran for an hour at least. We finished in 1 Hour 15Mins which is a little slow but we paced each other as I didn't want to leave her running alone. Her knee was still recovering from previous run. She has been complaining about her knee ever since our first 10KM run together. As friend adviced, she should rest for now.

Dinner
Brown rice. Some home made fish ball. veggies. some herbal soup + 2 big pieces of pork from the soup.

Ran 10KM ( 4 X 2.5KM Loop). I ran alone today as my gf's knee is still recovering. I pressed stop on my stopwatch and continued running for awhile more then only started walking. I was shocking.gif when I saw my watch. I finished in 01:04:43 ..... Whoa. I know the route may be easier to run and timings will definitely vary as other running places will be tougher but at least I'm still training smile.gif

So there you have it, my first 30KM mileage. I won't say I'm a lot faster but I'm training better now. I hope I can increase my distance this week.

FRUITS!

We needz more fruits no? Anyway, we usually have some fruits after dinner. I think its a really good practice because we rely too much on artificial juices? Peel Fresh? Any fresher, you have to peel it yourself which we DID.

Anyway, I mentioned earlier I have been taking glucosamine cap? You might be asking WTF is that?

Normal price is RM105 but I bought it at RM94.XX during the Raya Holiday. Discounts baby discounts. 1 bottle of Glucosamine and 2 bottles of Fish oil.

Okay I won't bother posting the entire detail here. If you want to read about glucosamine, click HERE. But in short

Glucosamine is a compound found naturally in the body, made from glucose and the amino acid glutamine. Glucosamine is needed to produce glycosaminoglycan, a molecule used in the formation and repair of cartilage and other body tissues. Production of glucosamine slows with age.

Still having that WTF expression? Ok, an even shorter one. It is good for your joints. There, simple ain't it? That's all you need to know.

Next! My gf bought for me this facial scrubber. Things that we take forgranted: Dead skin cells.

No, sorry didn't take any before scrub and after scrub picture of my face. But believe me or not, my face was smoother(eh..this is not kertas pasir okay? ) and "looks" fairer. This facial scrub has some bead like stuff which, SCRUBS your face lah. Feels good though =P After the scrub, my face still had to be picit by my gf to remove blackheads and all the other dirt. Free facial treatment baby.

My friend has been telling me about this granola bar from Nature Valley so I decided to give them a try instead of stacking up my Energy Bar: Nut Delight (RM3.50 for just ONE). They cost RM10.90(or 10.89 at Giant, are they trying to be funny? 0.01?) for a box and there are 6 packs in a box. 1 pack contains 2 bars

I have only tried the peanut butter flavor. Man, it was nice and not sweet at all. Just make sure you have a plate as it tends to get messy when the bits and pieces falls off with every bite. Oh and also, have a cup of drink as well because its quite dry. Nevertheless, very filling.

Off topic, was at the market with my grandma on Saturday Morning and...spotted someone saying wazzup to me.
