IT IS DONE!

I said I will do it and I did. It is done!. I've ran my first 10KM run in my entire life.

It was tough even after all my training. Hard sections were the uphills.....I realised that the uphill at my housing area were no where as steep as the ones I ran today.

I started off with a good pace. Infact, my normal pace was already good enough to overtake MOST of the runners. Continued running for another few KM when...towards a longer and steeper uphill, MY SIDE STITCH CAME. It was so painful that I was on the verge of giving up. I slowed down my pace and trying my best to not think about it. Eventually, the pain subsided.

I continued running till I reached Bukit Bintang from Merdaka Square. When the uphill section came, my side stitch came again. It was fucking painful till I had to STOP and WALK.

My legs were so heavy after walking... I had to force myself to run again. It was like that forawhile.... Walk....run....walk...run. I wanted to just walk all the way...but all sorts of thoughts came into my mind. I've trained hard for this...and I'm walking? I don't care about my pride and ego but it was seriously tough. I started running again. But no matter what I try...I had to walk once in awhile.

Suddenly, I saw this uncle still running despite the distance. I saw his band around the neck. It was the 10KM run. I was freaking amazed that despite his age....he joined the 10KM run. I got so motivated, I started running and pacing myself. I kept this pace till i saw the TENTS at Merdaka Square. I RAN with every last bit of energy left in me to overtake a number of people.

But when I was about to reach the finishing line, there was a man saying "All 10KM runners in the M category please line up". I WAS LIKE WTFFFFFFF. I already passed that line not knowing wtf that queuing up was for. I had to quickly RUN BACK to get in LINE.

Really.. WHAT THE FUCK. Despite all that, I manage to get my certificate of completion, which is what I have been aiming for apart from the medal. My pace was not fast enough for me to get a medal. However, my friend, Weng Aun got his cert and MEDAL. Congratulations man!

Here are some pictures before and after the running day.

ITS BEEN AWHILE...

It's been awhile since my last update.

This will be a quick one.

1. My 10KM run is this Sunday

2. I have finally joined a GYM. It is behind my work place. Same area..Technology Park Malaysia.

Hopefully my 6 packs will come soon this year.

So far progress has been great. Because of my training for the 10KM run, I am much leaner....Happy with my results.

Argh...no chin up bars available at Kettlers... =.= I bought a running arm wallet though. I've only used it twice with Ipod Nano so far... 4KM run during my 1st session and the second session was 5KM run. Didnt affect my running rhythm too. =D which is nice! Muahahaha

Lack of Updates?

W'sup peeps...Nothing much lately...

Except for a few things. Firstly, I've join a new project at work..Previously, I was in a US project called Pratt & Whitney. Now I'm in XeroX UK project. =) Its been pretty busy lately... but..I still workout/run.

All I'm hoping for right now...is to get a certification for joining that 10KM.

What did I have for lunch today? As usual, I try to eat CLEAN, meaning....er...not so fatty stuff lah.

I usually bring two sandwiches and eat 1 for lunch + 1 cup of coffee. And the other sandwich for tea which is about 4.30pm. So I could workout immediately at 6.30pm after reaching home from work.

Just some stuff I read about metabolism and "energy" layer for your body. You might be thinking...Oh My God...Just 1 Sandwich? Trust me guys...when I first started, I ate such sandwiches like...2 months in a row? Why? Wholemeal bread for the good carbs. Tuna in Olive Oil for the good fats and protein. The veg are for fibers. It was during my peak progress in losing fats. Well, that was last year. I don't really bother about weight because...I still exercise REGULARLY. I know what I'm doing and I LOVE what I'm doing. Oh...apart from just 1 Sandwich for lunch, I DO take biscuits lah...doesn't matter which type of biscuits because I just take from the office's pantry....It might be Jacob, Munchy......and those assorted biscuits...

Today, I can say that I'm a lot leaner now. I don't mean I'm showing off but from a guy that started off so damn fat, I'm now able to buy tshirts at Size M or S ( Okay lah...nak tunjuk some muscles okay? ).

Without further delay, I present to you....my lunch =D
