Valentine's Day!

How did you guys spend your V day? Hope it was a good one as always but I still believe Valentine's Day is too commercialized and I'm sure most of you will agree.

Well, I'll admit that during the first two years of my relationship, I did buy a bouquet of roses for her but after that, I've stopped. I have treated my gf the same throughout the years as in giving her all the love, care and attention she needs. So Valentine's day is not really a day where I would do outrageous things. Why do those things ONLY on 14th February when you have the entire fucking year? It makes no sense don't you think? But that is for my case and she loves me very much. She knows I love her and care for her. Even my friends knows that! *ahem*

It's not a matter of money but seriously, I don't give any flowers often except probably her birthday. You might be saying "Girls will still like flowers" or "Other guys are giving flowers to their gf". My answer is "So?". Those guys probably give their gf flowers only on Valentine's Day. Also, are you giving flowers to your gf because others are doing so? Feeling left out?

Let's be practical here. Florist will raise their prices for a stalk of rose ranging from RM10 ~ RM God knows how much more for desperados to do last minute buying. With the current economic situation, let's be practical. Although I did not buy any flowers, we had a nice dinner together. I've even booked the place one week in advance! Seriously, I booked the place 1 week before V day.

Just kidding la. WTF You seriously think I brought my sayang to OLDTOWN FOR V DAY? I SAID BE PRACTICAL AND NOT BEING CHEAP! Here is the place I booked for Valentine's Day. I chose this place because of its environment. Nice and calm. Best part of all, its seems more private.

Their menu was different for that day. The usual leather menu are just for the drinks. Appetizers, soups, main courses and desserts are on another simplified A4 size menu which will help speed up serving time.

My mouth watering Slow Baked Chicken Quarter ~ Doused in pommery mustard and scotch whisky


Seared White Tuna Steak ~ Laced with caramelized garlic butter sauce, set on a bed of cress, topped with grilled mushrooms.
