It's funny how they offer broadband services in quantity and NOT quality....

The national high-speed broadband implementation plan is targeting 50% of Malaysian households to have broadband Internet access by 2010.
Achievable....sure...with incredibly low quality

“We are pushing ahead with this plan as we believe it can be a catalyst to boost the national economy further,” he said, adding that businesses would be run differently in future with the development of broadband.
Businesses would face more disconnection, longer wait time for customer service. and paying a shit load of money for 4MB which is basically 10KB download 3 kb upload.

He said the country was set to be among those with well-developed broadband access, adding that in the current international ranking, Malaysia was rather low.
Doh...tahu pun.. tak malu ke? "Malaysia was? more like "Malaysia IS low ranking and we're proud of it. We are sucking more money from all users."

He should have said

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Malaysia is currently at the lowest rank in the international ranking. It motivates us to improve our broadband quality as we go by Malaysia Boleh as well as Visit Malaysia 2007. By supplying vast coverage of broadband connectivity to hotels and rural areas will help boost the economy. When we supply broadband to rural areas...we then encourage them to buy pc to fully utilise the broadband connectivy available. Soon we will also discuss with Tenaga National Berhad to set up new power supplies to these rural areas in order for the to use the pc which would then utilise the broadband connectivity. Betul tak?

:) have a good day.
